House Ag Committee Chair GT Thompson releases a Farm Bill overview

Overnight, the House Ag Committee released details of the legislation in preparation for a mark-up later this month.

House Ag Committee Chair GT Thompson has issued a title-by-title summary of the legislation, following extensive discussions with members from both parties and farmers. Key provisions include boosts in PLC and ARC, significant increases in MAP and FMD, and improved credit access for farmers.

Additionally, the Bill aims to restrict executive authority over SNAP. Meanwhile, Senate Ag Chair Debbie Stabenow is anticipated to unveil a comprehensive Bill.
