How big of an issue is the lack of lawyers in rural communities?

Rural communities often face unique barriers to a number of resources, including lawyers.
This leaves residents without access to legal advice for everything from family issues to property transactions.

It is an issue we are looking to not only better understand, but also learn about potential solutions to bridge the gap.

Roger McEowen with the Washburn School of Law spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander on how big of an issue this is, contributing factors, and efforts underway to reverse the trend.
