Every two years, the Renewable Fuels Association holds study groups to see how consumers feel about ethanol and ethanol-related topics.
In 2019, consumers felt it was helpful to talk about ethanol’s track record rather than about future benefits. They found consumers were more concerned about overall fuel quality rather than performance. Last year, the group learned consumers are receptive to the benefits of ethanol and could still be persuaded.
Another focus group session is planned for 2023.
