Hurricane Ian is not stopping Florida’s Farmer of the Year

Farmers in Florida continue to assess damage from Hurricane Ian.

We are getting another first-hand look at the damage to Florida farms after Hurricane Ian blew through the state. One Central Florida Dairy is now rebuilding from the ground up.

As Jack Pagano reports, the operation lost a couple of hundred head to the brutal storm, but that is not stopping Florida’s Farmer of the Year.

Also, producers are urged to contact the University of Florida Extension to complete a damage assessment, which will help the Economic Impact Analysis Program, which gets financial assistance to producers.
