RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison has a phone interview with Emily Engelhard, who is the Managing Director of Thought Leadership for Feeding America.
Emily states that recent data shows unemployment and geographic isolation have come together to create the perfect storm for child hunger in rural communities. The study was conducted through the partnership of Feeding America and ‘No Kid Hungry’.
Engelhard says Feeding America’s recommendations are to increase awareness of this concerning issue, improve transportation of food and FA internal policies, and continuing to support services like SNAP.
