Iowa lawmakers passed a bill that will require gas stations to sell fuel with a higher ethanol blend.
It has taken several legislative sessions to hammer out differences. The bill, requiring gas stations to sell E15, now goes to the governor’s desk.
The governor’s office says that the bill is the result of compromise between farmers to fuel retailers, and it will reinforce Iowa’s economy at a time when inflation is soaring.
