Researchers in Iowa are looking to expand the versatility of the soybean. They are taking this “miracle bean” and developing a soy based polymer to use in asphalt.
Rolland Schnell, a Newton Farmer, had this to say about the research: “Its a win win for the environment, its a win win for farmers, and its a win win for the general public because its going to make for better roads at a lower cost.”
