The month-long strike at John Deere is over. Union members approved a new six year agreement with 61 percent of the vote.
The deal includes an $8,500 dollar signing bonus, a 20 percent increase in wages over 6 years, with 10 percent raises implemented this year. Cost of living adjustments and other benefits were also included in the package.
The United Auto Workers president says that Deere workers “united the nation” in the struggle for fairness in the workplace.
