Learn to Grow: Dividing Perennial Leeks

In this video, Misilla shows how to divide and plant leeks that had overwintered.

Leek (Allium ampeloprasum) – Winter varieties (listed below) are cold-hardy and can be perennialized. Don’t harvest all in the first season, and allow at least half to proliferate so you can grow a permanent patch of leeks. Mulch thickly in the fall in cold climates.
