Left In Limbo: Senator Roger Marshall wants the “farm” put back into the Farm Bill

“If we don’t pass a new Farm Bill, we’re going to get an extension done-- one way or the other! We’ll get it done.”

The deadline to pass a new Farm Bill has come and gone. Producers now are left in limbo and speculating over prospects for the legislation. Many of them have been operating under outdated policies as they cope with high input costs and low commodity prices.

Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander on what producer needs need to be met, passing a new bill, and how the election cycle impacts it.
