Legendary comedian Carl Reiner dies at 98

Nine-time Emmy Winner and creator of The Dick Van Dyke Show Carl Reiner has died at 98.

Reiner won five of his Emmys thanks to The Dick Van Dyke Show, which won The Outstanding Comedy Award three times in the mid 1960s.

As a comedian, Reiner was a five-time Grammy nominee for Best Comedy Album. He won the Grammy in 1999 alongside Mel Brooks for The 2000 Year Old Man in the Year 2000.

Reiner always remained in the public eye. He had a role in the in the Ocean’s Eleven movies and did voice work for King of the Hill, Family Guy, American Dad and Bob’s Burgers when he was in his 90s.

Reiner also directed the films Oh God and All of Me.

He died of natural causes in his California home, according to Variety.
