Police in the Spanish town of Molina de Segura thought they were being called out to deal with a lion on the loose, but instead found a very large dog reports the HuffPost.
The police station’s social media posted saying they had received several calls about a lion sighting in town.
After catching the animal, the police scanned its microchip to, which revealed that it was actually a dog.
The dog’s hair was cut in a way that furthered the confusion, complete with a tufty tail and a mane.
