MAHA Reaction: National Farmers Union says that producers are here to produce healthy food

“Big picture-- President Trump is to be commended for focusing on the health and well-being of our nation’s kids...”

Ag groups are weighing in on the Make America Healthy Again report. The document makes a link between chronic disease in children and ultraprocessed foods, chemicals, and even vaccines.

While the report did note the importance of crop protection tools for farmers, some industry groups say it casts doubt on the safety of key pesticides.

National Farmers Union President, Rob Larew, spoke with RFD-TV’s Suzanne Alexander on their reaction, impact on producers, and what to expect moving forward.
