Mahindra Helps After Hurricane Harvey

Mahindra, the world’s largest tractor company, has announced efforts to help with relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Combining the efforts of its employees and dealer network, Mahindra announced donations will go to the Greater Houston Community Foundation and the American Red Cross. Additional tractors and utility vehicles have been made to dealers for immediate use in the rebuilding efforts. Mahindra has also made equipment available to government entities as the assist with clean-up efforts. The combined donation of cash, services, and equipment will be $1.5 million in relief.
“We are saddened to see the devastation left behind, not only in our comunity but throughout the region and our sympathies are with the storm victims,” said Cleo Franklin, CMO/VP-Strategic Planning of Mahindra NA. “One of the three pillars of Mahindra’s Rise philosophy is driving positive change and we are putting muscle behind this pillar as a company and as individuals in this time of great need.”
The company’s North American headquarters are based in Houston which saw wide-spread devastation as Harvey dropped 40-52 inches of rain over parts of Texas and Louisiana.
