Man faces 20 years in prison for the death of over 200 cattle, one horse

As we previously reported, a Nebraska man was facing multiple felonies due to officials finding over 200 cattle carcasses on his property.

Aaron Ogren originally faced almost 30 felonies for the 2019 incident. The charges range from theft by unlawful taking, prohibited sale of livestock, cruelty to animals, and prohibited sale of livestock.

Officials discovered the carcasses of cattle and one horse after investigating stolen livestock.

On Tuesday, Ogren was sentenced to 15 to 20 years in prison.
