A dog in Littleton, Massachusetts needed police assistance after it had fallen through the ice at a lake in the area.
Officer Brian Casey arrived at the scene and was able to find the dog, Tuuka, in the water near the dock. He then made a lasso to safely get Tuuka out of the water.
“It was extremely fortunate that Officer Casey was able to get to the scene as quickly as he did and help get Tuuka to safety,” Police Chief Matthew Pinard told WCVB. "“This is a good chance to remind everyone, whether they have two legs or four, that it’s still too early in the season to be going out on the ice.”
