A new Forbes article says that a wave of veganism launched after scientific claims plant-based meats are healthier and better for the environment. However that is not necessarily true.
Research from the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology states that among meat substitutes veggie burgers are associated with the highest carbon emissions. Also, when comparing Burger King’s Whopper to the Meatless Impossible Whopper, they found the beef burger only has 30 more calories, one more gram of saturated fat, and has less salt.
