A troop of monkeys attacked a medical official and stole blood samples of patients who tested positive for coronavirus in India.
According to Reuters, the attack occurred when a lab tech was on campus of a state-run medical college.
“Monkeys grabbed and fled with the blood samples of four COVID-19 patients who are undergoing treatment ... we had to take their blood samples again,” said Dr S. K. Garg, a top official at the college, told the publication.
Authorities fear the virus could spread if the monkeys take the sample in residential areas.
