National Farmers Union on ag priorities for the next four years

While speculation looms around the outcome of the election, agriculture highlights its main priorities for the next four years.

National Farmers Union’s Mike Stranz speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on what he would like to see from the next President, what pandemic relief he would like to see next, and climate change.

“The pandemic response that came in the form of CFAP program offered a patch... but again it hasn’t provided long-term solutions nor does it have any long-term budgeting for future farm legislation,” he states. “With the approximately 40 percent of net farm income for 2020 expected to come from government payments, that goes away by and large next year, so we need to take a look at what can be done to fix the problem of low prices, rather than just simply putting a band-aid on it.”
