National Sheep Association blames dog ownership increase for rise in sheep attacks

Sheep attacks are growing across the United Kingdom, and the National Sheep Association is blaming pandemic puppies.

Dog ownership increased during the pandemic with more than 3 million households in the UK getting a dog during the lockdown. The association says that the majority of that number was likely a first-time down owner and was unaware the risk dogs pose to livestock.

The Chief Executive of the NSA says that action must be taken to inform dog owners of the dangers and laws and law enforcement need to be strengthened.
