The National Weather Service issued an unusual warning in a tweet on Tuesday.
The forecast calls for Iguanas falling from trees due to temperatures dipping into the 30s.
Jan 21 - This isn't something we usually forecast, but don't be surprised if you see Iguanas falling from the trees tonight as lows drop into the 30s and 40s. Brrrr! #flwx #miami pic.twitter.com/rsbzNMgO01

The iguanas will simply be immobilized and not dead, although the distance of the fall can injury the cold-blooded creatures.
Iguanas originated in South America, but through pet trade, they arrived in South Florida. Escapes and releases allowed them to establish a large population in Florida neighborhoods where the temperature is usually warm.
