NCBA’s reaction to the Direct Act
Cattle producers get a win with the introduction of the Direct Act. The bipartisan legislation aims to create new opportunities to market beef products.
NCBA’s Tanner Beymer speaks with RFD-TV’s own Tammi Arender on the bill’s objectives, how it will work, and its long-term benefits.
“What the Direct Act would do is it would allow for state inspected meat and poultry products to be sold across state lines via e-commerce direct to consumers,” Beymer states. “It is another marketing tool in the tool box for producers creating some additional opportunities for them to capture some value on their product.”
