New York set to ban glyphosphate

New York will soon ban the use of glyphosphate on state property.

Ag groups had urged Governor Andrew Cuomo to veto the legislation, saying that the herbicide has been used safely for more than 40 years, but he signed the bill into law, which takes effect at the end of the year

State leased ag and forestry land are not subject to the law based on separate lease agreements.
