The comment period for the new Waters of the U.S. rule comes to a close today. Last year, officials announced they would rewrite the WOTUS rule, continuing a nearly decade-long back and forth, that’s left farmers scratching their heads. American Farm Bureau Congressional Relations Senior Director Courtney Briggs spoke with RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison about how we got to this point, what it means for farmers and ranchers and its ripple effects, what the next steps are and what she would like to see moving forward.
