No Build, No Blow: Idaho counties look to halt wind turbines

County commissioners are working to prevent a new wind project in Idaho.

Seven counties came together and signed a no-build proclamation against the proposed Lava Ridge Wind Project, which would bring 400 wind turbines to 200,000 acres in the state.

They say recent damage to public lands along with the potential damage to water supply are among the many reasons for the decision.
