Since 1985, Valley Riding in Ohio has offered therapeutic riding, youth outdoor programs and a place for families together, but they have also felt the burden of COVID-19.

With no one allowed to ride, it means that there is less money to pay for the care and feeding the horses, which is why the organization launched a GoFundMe, to help its horses in a time of need.

“As Covid-19 continues to impact our suddenly unemployed school horses, we are turning to our Facebook friends to help support these magnificent animals who give so much to their community,” the organization wrote online. “Your gift would help feed and provide the necessary care requirements for our horses until we can get our lesson program running again.”

The barn is currently closed until May 1.

So far, more than $6,400 has been raised toward the $8,000 goal.
