Washington’s Capitol Hill neighborhood hears sounds of a milk truck from block away. Seth Burmeister delivers milk, eggs, and ice cream, produced by South Mountain Creamery to 150 homes.
The creamery says that it has seen an almost tenfold increase in home deliveries over a single weekend due to COVID-19, in early March. Last Month, the company had a waitlist of 6,000 new households and now has seen their customer base double.
The creamery’s CEO, Tony Brusco says that the pandemic pushed people over the line to try something new.
