Don Howison, the oldest remaining survivor of USS Indianapolis, died earlier this month.
Howison was also was the only officer still alive from the WWII ship.
“Don was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and outlook on life. Rest In Peace, sailor. You will not be forgotten,” the USS Indianapolis Facebook page wrote.
After Don Howison’s death, there are now only 10 living survivors of USS Indianapolis.
