On the Record: Chancey Williams talks how his Wyoming roots influence his music & the cowboy culture

Chancey Williams is a saddle bronc rider turned country music artist.

He is a Wyoming native and it can be heard through his music, with songs like “The World Needs More Cowboys.”

He joined us for On The Record to talk about why he sticks to the Western sound through his music and the comeback of “cowboy culture.”

“It’s what I know the most about, so it’s hard for me to write songs about anything different. I feel like a lot of artists can sing whatever they want if they’re not honed in on exactly who they are...I’m a ranch kid from Wyoming and know a lot about that.”

On The Record airs Friday nights at 8:30 PM ET on RFD-TV and also on the RFD-TV Now App.
