Our market specialist breaks down the latest WASDE report (8.12.21)

USDA just released the latest World Supply and Demand Estimates. Our market specialist Marlin Bohling is in the newsroom right now gathering the data.

The highly anticipated World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates offers a glimpse of the anticipated crop production ahead of harvest.

This report is driven by 20,000 farmer surveys that reveal the projected yield status of crops in major growing regions across the globe.

Mark Jekanowski, USDA outlook board chairman, says that the data will provide farmers insight into: future domestic use, ending stocks, and exports, including Brazil’s corn crop which competes directly with the U.S. “The size and the quality of that crop is something we’re watching pretty closely,” Jekanowski adds.
