John Lopez, a native of rural South Dakota, started sculpting from metal while on his aunt and uncle’s ranch. More than 10 years later, he’s used those skills, and his knowledge of horses, to create larger than life hybrid metal sculptures across the country.
He says his passion for the animals and wanting to get all of the details perfect is part of what sets his work apart.
