Herman and Lundy are sweeping the internet with their unlikely friendship.
Herman is a pigeon who suffered a neurological damage more than a year ago and is unable to fly. Lundy is a newborn Chihuahua puppy and can’t use his back legs.
The two met through the Mia Foundation, a rescue organization in Rochester, New York, which rehabilitates animals with birth defects.
A worker at the foundation was attending to Lundy who was sitting next to Herman, and the two almost immediately began to snuggle.
Lundy needs to get stronger before he can be adopted, and it is likely that Herman will be cared for at the foundation for the rest of his life.
