For the second consecutive year, President Donald Trump has declared Christmas Eve a federal holiday, giving government workers the day off with pay.

“All executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government shall be closed and their employees excused from duty on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, the day before Christmas Day,” the order reads.

There are roughly 2 million government employees in the U.S.

According to Fox Business, Presidents do not typically declare Christmas Eve a federal holiday when it lands on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
