The Producer Price Index came in hot, rising more than expected in November.
Producer prices are up 0.3 percent on the month. Overall, prices are 7.4 percent higher than a year ago. Food costs rose 3.3 percent during the month, while energy costs fell 3.3 percent.
The Producer Price Index measures prices before they are passed onto the consumer.
