A farm is more than just a place of business; for most, it is also a home. That is why producers often look for insurance guidance to help protect their operation.
President of United Insurance Services, Mike Durnil, speaks with RFD-TV’s own John Jenkinson on how insurance companies can protect farmers and their employees while working on the farm.
“Insurance companies have employees that complete college degrees in safety engineering. So, each company will send out their inspectors to farms to help bring awareness to areas that need to be improved upon for safety,” Durnil states. “Those people sometimes seem to be a nuisance to a busy farmer, but that really needs to change. The inspectors are another resource to better protect the farm and its operators.”
