A box showed up on a North Carolina lawn in late January and the person who called it in thought it contained two puppies in blankets WATE News reports.
On closer inspection it became clear they were not puppies, but bear cubs instead.
It is still unclear who left the box, how they got the cubs, and why the box was left where it was.
The cubs have since been taken to the North Carolina Zoo by the North Carolina National Wildlife Resources Commission.
The zoo has not shared any updates on the bears since they received them.
