RanchHER Host Janie Johnson discusses new episodes (and more sweet things) on the way!

Janie joined Suzanne Alexander on RFD-TV’s Market Day Report to discuss the mid-season premiere of RanchHER. She also shared some exciting personal news that has deepened her respect for the powerful female ranchers featured on the show.

RanchHER profiles the extraordinary women of the ranching industry, and the show isn’t limited to just ranching. The new episodes of RanchHER dive deeper into the untold stories of women shaping the future of agriculture. Each episode highlights how these women balance ranch life’s physical and mental demands with their deep-rooted passion for the land, livestock, family, industry, and community.

Host Janie Johnson, a RanchHER herself, has worked in Western sports for over a decade as a sideline reporter at the most prestigious rodeos in the world.

“RanchHER shoots are always a huge adventure, and it’s been such a special opportunity to travel to some incredibly vast and remote locations, ride great horses, work cattle, and meet the most impressive women in our industry,” said host Janie Johnson. “Our fall episodes cover some of the most exciting times on the ranch, and during this half of the season, all of my travels were during my first trimester of pregnancy. It was a whole new challenge to navigate, but it also brought a whole new appreciation for the work these women do for their families.”

This season, Janie takes viewers on a ride to witness these RanchHERs’ day-to-day challenges, from weather and ensuring their herds’ health and well-being to maintaining their ranches’ sustainability, to working on and off the ranch, all while preserving the traditions and values that define ranching.

Through intimate interviews and stunning visuals, RanchHER continues to celebrate the endurance and spirit that define today’s female ranchers.

“As we launch the new episodes of RanchHER for the second half of the season, we continue to celebrate the incredible women who embody both the toughness and beauty of life on the ranch,” said Raquel Gottsch Koehler, CEO of FarmHER + RanchHER. “A RanchHER isn’t just strong; she’s resilient, passionate, and deeply connected to the land, family, and community. Through these stories, we honor the grit and grace it takes to thrive in agriculture, and we hope to inspire the next generation of women in this field.”
