Nashville, Tenn. (RFD-TV) Historic RCA Recording Studio A is unveiling a three-year renovation project, just in time for the Country Music Academy’s Awards show.

Last night, RCA executives, musicians, and others gathered on the small lawn and sidewalk just outside the studios to witness this huge moment for RCA Recording Studios – and for country music as well.

Speeches were given about the efforts and dreams of this renovation as well as the sign. Then came the moment all were waiting for: a countdown for the switch to be flipped, by Aubrey Preston and Nashville’s Mayor Megan Berry, lighting the newly installed sign.

The installation of the new sign is one of the more visible features of the three-year renovation to the historic studios. Alluding to that history as well as to the updated facility’s potential for producing more award-winning music for years to come, Mayor Berry said, “We’re lighting this building, but what we’re also lighting is Music Row’s future.”
