A new agreement has been reached in the acquisition of Kansas City Southern Railway. They have chosen to end their merger with Canadian Pacific in favor of Canadian National.

According to Haney, “In Canada... although they support the idea of this North American railway, farm groups are necessarily ready to pick a winner at this point. So, much more noise coming out of the U.S. farm groups than say on the Canadian side.”
