Rep. Don Bacon on WOTUS: Lawmakers need to clear up the muddy water in the rules

As the dust settles from the Supreme Court’s ruling on Sackett vs EPA, one Congressman says it opens the door for him and his colleagues to provide additional clarity to the industry.

Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon tells Brownfield Ag News that lawmakers need to be more specific in the rules. The House Ag Committee member says that means using clear language so that puddles and low-lying fields are not worked into new legislation.

He says America’s farmers want continuity and less predictability, and all the back-and-forth makes it difficult on them.
