Pasture and rangeland have taken a beating from drought. However, January was one of the wettest on record for producers across the country.
According to USDA Meteorologist, Brad Rippey, “Going back just the last few years looking at only the 21st century, it was actually the second wettest January so far in the 21st century. The only wetter January was back in 2017.”
Rippey adds that January was also the sixth warmest on record, in the last 129 years.
