Rodeo New York

Rodeo New York
“Competing in Madison Square Garden has been on my bucket list and I thought it may never happen until now! I can’t wait to take the cowboy western lifestyle to The Big Apple! New York, let’s rodeo!” —Tyson Durfey, Tie-Down Roper

They say “if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.” Challenge accepted! It’s been a long time (almost 30 years!) since rodeo last ventured into the concrete canyons of Manhattan. It’s high time for the cowboy to ride again!

In June, 2020 The Cowboy Channel is bringing rodeo back to “the City That Never Sleeps,” for an event unlike any other, in the world’s most famous arena: Madison Square Garden. Join us in “the Big Apple” for a western sports spectacular that will be well worth the journey east of the Mississippi: Rodeo New York!

This Challenge of Champions will feature an unequalled number of world champion western sports athletes from every discipline (plus a handful of celebrity invitees) competing against one another on the very best stock available.

“I have heard so many old stories from cowboys that were able to compete in the Madison Square Garden back in the day. I am so excited and can’t wait to be able to run barrels in such a unique venue. Being able to be a part of this historic event in bringing rodeo back to New York City is an honor.” —Sherry Cervi, Barrel Racer
