Rural infrastructure will get a “facelift” thanks to a new grant program

Rural roads and bridges are getting a little TLC.

Thanks to the Rural Surface Transportation Grant Program, more than $270 million will go toward improving and expanding transportation infrastructure in rural areas. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg tells Brownfield Ag News that this spending is long overdue.

Additionally, there will be many projects launched from this program giving rural America a safer, more affordable, and easier way to get around.
