Russia tells U.N. it is ready to help lower the food crisis threat

On a phone call earlier today, Russia told the United Nations it is ready to help lower the threat of a food crisis.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the country’s top diplomat told the U.N. Secretary-General that the country was ready to coordinate efforts to reduce the threat of a global food crisis.

Russia’s Foreign Minister says Moscow was committed to fulfilling its grain and fertilizer export obligations.
