Sanderson Farms receives a subpoena from the Department Of Justice for the ongoing price-fixing investigation of 14 processors related to the regulator’s investigation into the broiler chicken antitrust case.
Meatingplace.com reports the company says they “intend to comply with the subpoena.” The DOJ launched an investigation back in June into allegations that poultry processors have colluded since 2008 to fix poultry prices.
Tyson received a similar summons in August, “seeking additional documents and information related to the chicken industry.”.
