It was an unexpected find for a Washington sheriff’s sergeant on Sunday morning Q 13 News reports.
According to the sheriff’s office Facebook page, the sergeant found a sea lion 50 miles from the ocean.
The 600-pound beast was safely transported to a nearby river by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
There was no word on how or why the sea lion was in the area.
