As the U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement continues to sit unratified in the Capitol, Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue and lawmakers call for quick action in September. During a visit to Pennsylvania, Secretary Perdue says the stalling of the USMCA’s ratification may send the wrong message and Pennsylvania Lawmakers are in line with that thinking.
As more markets emerge Perdue says he’d like to see additional deals with countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and more. Perdue says the next step should be diversifying what size markets the U.S. is making deals with. Japan, Korea, and Morocco are also on the USDA Chief’s trade agreement wish list.
