Security Experts: Bluetooth Poses Significant Security Risks!

As reported by Fox News, specialists at a recent hacker convention warned that Bluetooth devices pose a uniquely vulnerable security risk. Bluetooth devices – which include earphones, computer mice, fitness trackers, smart watches, car entertainment systems, and assorted other components which feature wireless functionality – are by their nature especially easy for hackers to exploit. Risks include the potential for hackers to track your movements and activities, steal your data, listen in on communications, and even gain control of your devices.

While there are some reassuring factors to consider, such as the fact that the ability to carry out such an attack requires a pretty high degree of expertise along with some expensive tools, the experts nevertheless warn that caution is warranted. Their best advice: turn your bluetooth devices off when not in use.
