Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley has tested positive for COVID-19.
Grassley, 87, is the longest-serving Republican Senator and second oldest member of the Senate. He is third in line of succession to the presidency.
In a statement earlier today after announcing he was quarantining following exposure, Grassley said that he was “feeling well and not currently experiencing any symptoms” but would follow public health guidelines and would continue to work from home.
Today marks his first missed Senate vote in a record 27 years.
