Senators introduce Covered Farm Vehicle Modernization Act

A group of Senators introduced a bill to remove the red tape surrounding some farm vehicles.

The Covered Farm Vehicle Modernization Act expands exemptions to reflect what farmers and ranchers use today.

Kansas Senator Roger Marshall introduced the bill with Georgia Democrat Jon Ossuff. Marshall says that it will allow folks to legally pull a gooseneck trailer with their pickup truck without having to get a for-hire commercial drivers license.

The bill will also allow vehicles that weigh under 36,000 pound to travel across state lines.
